莱茵－瓦尔应用科技大学成立于2009年5月1日，并且正快速成长为创新型国际化的大学。莱茵－瓦尔应用科技大学坐落于德国北莱茵－威斯特法伦州克莱沃（Kleve）市中心，并在卡姆－林特福特（Kamp-Lintfort）设有第二校区。该校主要是以自然科学，信息学，工程与技术学为重点的大学。
在德国北莱茵·威斯特法伦州（北威州）州政府的授权招标下，德荷边境历史名城克莱沃市和“Wir4”团体联合起草了建校申请。希望以教育带动当地的文化开放与经济。在专家小组的推荐下，北威州州政府做出决定，在克莱沃和坎普·林特福特建立一所高等应用技术大学。
Rhein-Wal University of Applied Sciences was established on May 1, 2009, and is rapidly growing into an innovative and international university. Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences is located in the center of Kleve, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, and has a second campus in Kamp-Lintfort. The school is mainly a university focusing on natural sciences, informatics, engineering and technology.
Under the authorization of the state government of North Rhine Westphalia (North Rhine-Westphalia), Germany, the historic city of Kleve on the German-Dutch border and the “Wir4” group jointly drafted the school application. It is hoped that education will promote the opening of local culture and economy. On the recommendation of the expert group, the North Rhine-Westphalia state government made a decision to establish a higher applied technology university in Kleve and Camp Lintford.
