It was renamed Johnson City State Teachers College in 1930, East Tennessee State College in 1943, and East Tennessee State University in 1963. The school currently has 764 faculty members and about 13,126 students, including international students from all over the world. East Tennessee University has excellent learning facilities, including modern teaching lecture halls and laboratories.
