The University of Wales is a joint university in the UK second only to the University of London. The school was established in 1893 under the Royal Charter. In 2007, the University of Wales was reorganized. The original six universities and two colleges were independent. The University of Wales is no longer a joint university in the past, but a university alliance. The University of Wales was once the second largest public university in the UK accredited by its branch campuses and the degree certificates issued by dozens of member colleges at home and abroad.
