University of Oregon; UO, founded in 1876 and located in Eugene, Oregon, is a public research university in the United States and a member of the Association of American Universities and the Alliance of Pacific Rim Universities.
To date, the school has contributed three Nobel Prize winners and 13 Pulitzer Prize winners, two researchers have been awarded the National Medal of Science, and nine researchers are members of the National Academy of Sciences.
The University of Oregon is ranked 99th in the United States in the 2022 U.S. News Best Colleges Rankings. In 2012, 10 alumni represented the United States at the London Olympics.
